This book blew my mind. I never could’ve seen the ending coming. I’m gonna tell you now, a straight five out of five.

Anna Andrews is a newsreader, and she’s excellent at it. Her dream came true, and nothing much was missing from her life. When Detective Jack Harper begins to investigate a murder that rocked the town, their paths collide in unexpected ways. Who was killed? What are the connections? Most importantly… did one of them do it?
In this narrative, we get three points of view: his, hers, and the killers’. As you should know by now, I’m always a sucker for a good story written from a villain,s point of view. The voice changes were distinct, and could keep track of which character I was reading. Jack and Anna’s characters are written so well you feel like they’ve become family. They’ll worm their way into your heart before you know it. I specifically enjoyed Anna’s character development throughout the story.
The way Feeney keeps the twists coming in this book left me breathless. It feels like there is a hook at the end of every chapter! Each mind-blowing revelation keeps you engaged all the way through. I was knocked back to reality whenever I thought I knew the answer.
I absolutely love this book. As I said above, a straight 5 out of 5 stars for me.
