What’s your biggest regret in life?
After the death of her father, Clara and her mother grow farther apart, if that’s even possible. Predictable Morgan is everything Clara hopes not to be. Without the glue that was holding their family together, there’s a chance they might never repair their relationship.
This heartbreaking story was another excellent introduction into the writing style of Colleen Hoover, which I believe is highly unique. As a mother, reading about the relationship between Clara and Morgan is devastating. Something every mother hopes never to experience. They grow even farther apart as Clara seeks out the one boy she should never be involved with. As the developing love story unfolds, our hearts are torn between teenage love a mother’s struggle.
This would be a great starting point for someone looking to discover what the CoHo hype is all about! Four out of five stars for me. I wasn’t a fan of the pace. It’s not her best, but it’s still fantastic.
