What’s your secret? That’s what Owen Gentry wants to know.
Auburn Reed, rebuilding her life, moves across the country. After losing the love of her life as a teenager, she is dedicated to pulling herself together. Desperately needing a job, she runs across Owen’s ad on the door. Owen Gentry is an artist with a rather unique concept. He wants to know your secrets, so he can transform them. With an anonymous drop box for confessions, Owen takes these confessions and turns them into works of art, using the confession as the title. As Auburn and Owen grow closer together, Auburn learns that Owen is hiding a HUGE secret. One that might turn their worlds upside down.
I absolutely love the premise of Owen’s studio. I hope there is something like it in the real world. It actually reminds me of Post Secret. The story of Auburn and Adam breaks my heart. Teenage love is so often looked down upon. Owen’s secret wasn’t really as mind-blowing as I wanted it to be. I did love the wrap-up though.
I give this one four out of five stars for the slightly disappointing build-up.
